Doug graduated with Honours in Business Administration from the University of Toronto and had a successful career with CIBC for 36 years where he worked in management, commercial and personal credit and investment planning roles.

He and his wife Carol moved to Salmon Arm in 2004 to take over as Branch Manager and built a top performing branch.  In 2007 he became General Manager of the Wealth Manager team in the South Okanagan-Kootenay region and managed a staff of 30 in 11 branches.

​

In 2009 he assumed the role of Financial and Business Advisor and retired in February, 2019.

​

He has been an active volunteer with many agencies including the United Way, Junior Achievement and the  Shuswap Hospital Foundation.  He is an active member of the Salmon Arm Rotary Club.

​

Doug was a Corporal in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve from 1980-1983.
