Established For You.
Established in 1986, the Community Futures network consists of 269 Community Futures Development Corporations across Canada. Our local office is part of the provincial association with 34 offices throughout British Columbia.
Although part of a provincial and national network, Community Futures Shuswap, with an office in Salmon Arm, is here to support the emerging business and community-based needs of the North Okanagan-Shuswap region. We are an independent organization, locally governed by a board of directors who volunteer their time, energy, and expertise.
As a key supporter and champion of the entrepreneur as well as the small and medium size business leaders in our area, we understand that you are the driving engine of our local economy. We believe the economic development of rural communities is imperative for a growing and thriving community and we provide a variety of initiatives and entrepreneurial programs to support you.
We are a team of skilled staff ready to help you with a framework for a new business plan and what you need to do to get started, strategic and economic planning and development, technical and advisory services, loans for starting or expanding your business, including services for the youth and entrepreneurs with disabilities in our communities.
