Employer Training Grant

is opening soon!

 

The B.C. Employer Training Grant (ETG) is designed to assist employers in providing skills training to new or current employees that will develop skills and certification, upgrade skills needed due to automation and enhance productivity.

 

This Program will provide up to $8 million in funding for employers to support skills training for their current and new employees in the fiscal year 2019/20.

 

Applications, for the 2nd of three rounds of funding, open June 3rd at 9am.  Once targets have been met for the intake period, applications will close.  In the first round of funding, applications closed within four hours!

 

The three streams you can apply under are:

  • Foundational Training:  unemployed, underemployed and low-skilled British Columbians

  • Technical Skills Training:  to train current or new employees in technical skills

  • Workforce Training:  to upgrade employees' skills and develop their workforce

In order to apply for the grant, employers MUST have a Business BCeID Account.  Note:  It may take up to 3 weeks to receive your BCeID.
