Eugene Casavant - Vice Chair
Eugene Casavant joined the board of CF Shuswap in June 2012. He has been a resident of Salmon Arm since 1982, having moved here, with his family, from Dawson Creek BC.
He is retired from an extensive career in Hospital Administration covering some 40 years in communities similar to the Shuswap, in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Since retirement he spent 15 years volunteering for the Shuswap Hospital Foundation serving on its board and as volunteer managing director. He has given to the communities wherever he lived through membership in service clubs such as Rotary and fraternal clubs such as the Knights of Columbus. Over the years he served on many local and provincial committees and associations, having served as president of the provincial hospital administrators association in two provinces.
He brings to CF a solid administrative background and a firm understanding of what communities need to develop and prosper.
Eugene was our 2014 Volunteer of the Year Award recipient.
